Searching For Synthesis
Is it possible to be both a humanistic psychologist and a social psychologist? After introducing its various theoretical perspectives and subfields, students in my introductory psychology course frequently ask me what “kind” of psychologist I am. Perhaps surprisingly, I find this to be a difficult question to answer.
