International Congress and Midwinter Conference

As coaching and consulting psychologists in this complex age, we face unprecedented opportunities to deepen our impact on the world. We are mobile and can work with colleagues and clients halfway across the globe virtually and simultaneously, or post research that can be available to millions of people in an instant. Our client populations are becoming increasingly diverse and complex, demanding anticipatory, new and innovative solutions to their ever changing needs. At the same time, we must uphold rigorous standards of our practice and maintain excellence across boundaries that may have even been untested or unreachable to cross in the past.

These themes are the impetus behind the adjacent conference events being held in San Diego, Feb. 3 - 8, 2015. The 5th International Congress of Coaching Psychology is the inaugural event of this very successful conference being held for the first time in the United States from Feb. 3-4, 2015 followed by the 24th Annual SCP Midwinter Conference Feb. 5-8, 2015. Earlybird registration ends on Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Excellence Across Borders

Date: February 3-4, 2015

Registration is open. To register and find more information visit the registration site.

The 5th International Congress of Coaching Psychology is the inaugural event of this very successful conference being held for the first time in the United States. Colleagues from around the world will come together to discuss and showcase coaching practice and research representing “Excellence Across Borders”:

  • What edges are we crossing, or are trying to find ways to cross, to offer better coaching solutions to clients?
  • Who are the psychologists around the world re-inventing the ceiling of excellence in research and practice that we can learn from?
  • How can coaching psychologists continue to make an impact on the leaders and their organizations that utilize coaches to improve their success?

Fit to Consult? Strengthen, Stretch, Test

Date: February 5-8, 2015

Registration is open. To register and find more information visit the registration site.

The theme for the Society of Consulting Psychology Mid-Winter Conference is, “Fit to Consult? Strengthen-Stretch-Test.” New challenges should encourage us to hypothesize, are we fit to consult in the increasingly high refresh rate environment? Specifically:

  • What are we doing to increase the rigor of our coaching and consulting services? What methods and metrics can build excellence in our evolving world of professional practice?
  • How are we challenging our own status quo? How are we stretching ourselves to adapt to the changing needs of our client – and our world?
  • What are we doing in our lives to stay ‘fit’? What are we doing to maintain physical, mental, spiritual, and social wellness in urgency-obsessed environments?

Continuing Education

There will be Continuing Education credits offered at the conference. This includes pre- and post-conference workshops, keynote sessions and concurrent sessions. APA Div. 13 is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Div. 13 maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Pre-Conference Workshops

Nine in-depth workshops will be offered the Midwinter Conference. Each of these workshops is lead by seasoned professionals. Pre-registration is required for each of these workshops, which offer four credits/hours of continuing education, as well.

Concurrent Sessions

Concurrent sessions do not require pre-registration and are included in the cost of registration. Continuing Education will be provided for many of the sessions (see onsite program for distinction).

More information on concurrent sessions will be released soon.

Posters

There will be two poster sessions. One session will take place during the International Congress on Coaching Psychology and the second session will take place during the Midwinter Conference.

All accepted poster submissions will be released here after the proposal submission portal is closed following September 12, 2014.
