Message from the board
Greetings SASP Members.
The SASP board hopes that everyone had a nice summer break and you are all beginning to get into the swing of the new school year. We would like to thank all of our members who came to our Student Research Forum at APA in Orlando. It was great to meet our members from across the nation and we hope that you enjoyed the events SASP was able to provide.
We would encourage you all to check out the website and take a look at some of the materials from the forum. We have posted student work as well as the presentations from our keynote speakers.
Another great event that is coming up for SASP is the 2012 School Psychology Futures Conference. SASP has had the honor of participating in the planning of the conference this two year and would like to invite our members to get involved. The conference is online and FREE! Please check out the additional information in this edition of FSTP, and feel free to contact SASP with any questions.
Elections for the 2013-2014 SASP Executive Board will be here soon! SASP is currently working on the call for nominations that will be distributed in October, 2012, so please keep an eye out for that if you are interested in getting involved in leadership with SASP.
Additionally, we have had some membership changes in SASP. We have merged the Division 16 and SASP applications into one application and are offering one-year free membership to new members! Further information on this membership merge is three available on our website and in this issue of FSTP. Also, don’t forget to update your chapter representative information with our membership chair.
Finally, the APPIC internship application process is right around the corner as well, and SASP is here to support our members through the process. We have put together a summary of the important dates as well as an article related to the internship process that is included in this issue of FSTP. We hope that these will be useful as you begin this process. We also encourage you to send any questions to our board, and we will do our best to find you answers. We wish each of you the best of luck in the internship application process!
Have a great fall semester!
