Student Travel Award
The Student Travel Award helps students interested in military psychology travel to the APA's Annual Convention to present their research.
Division 19 Student Travel Awards assist graduate/undergraduate students of psychology travel to APA's convention and present their research. These awards are usually $750 each, but for 2013 the division will award up to 10 travel awards of $1000 each to graduate/undergraduate students presenting paper/posters in Division 19 events. The extra funds for 2013 are designed to offset the higher costs of travel to the 2013 APA Convention in Hawai'i. Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility
Applicants must be enrolled and in good standing in a graduate/undergraduate program in psychology.
Applicants must be student affiliates of Division 19. Applicants who are not Division 19 student affiliates must apply to become one online prior to submitting materials for this Award; the Division 19 Student Travel Award Committee must receive all materials in a complete PDF formatted package.
Only students with papers/posters accepted by Division 19 will be considered. Multiple author submissions are acceptable, but the student applicant must be designated as the first author of the paper/poster. If there are multiple student authors, only the first author may apply for these funds. If the student-applicant has been accepted to present more than one paper or poster, he/she must choose only one paper/poster presentation for consideration when applying for this award.
How To Apply
The Division 19 Student Travel Award Committee will examine all applications for eligibility.Applicants must complete the 2013 Student Travel Award application form (PDF, 22.4KB). The application form must be typed and submitted with the following materials:
A. One-page maximum typed cover letter describing your research interests and experience, as well as career plans.
B. Two-page maximum Curriculum Vitae including scientific publications and presentations.The application form and the additional materials listed above must be scanned into one PDF document and emailed to the student representative for submission. Each applicant should keep a copy of the submitted materials.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Funds will be provided directly to the students following the announcement of the award recipients in order to ensure the funds are received prior to the annual convention date.
Each recipient is required to attend the Division 19 business meeting at APA to be formally presented the award.
