Eleanor Criswell Hanna Award Celebrating Women in Humanistic Psychology
First presented in 2018, the Eleanor Criswell Hanna Award Celebrating Women in Humanistic Psychology will be given annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to women in the field of humanistic psychology.
Self-nominations are not accepted for this award. An individual who demonstrates significant contributions to women in the field of humanistic psychology, as evidenced by their work and recent curriculum vita, is eligible and should be nominated for this award.
To nominate an individual for this award, please submit the following:
- Two brief paragraphs explaining who the person is and why they should receive an award.
- Contact information for the nominee (address, telephone, email).
- A recent curriculum vita (from the nominator or nominee).
Self-nominations are not accepted.
Nominees will be evaluated by the awards committee. The top candidates will be recommended to the Executive Committee who will select awardees at the January board meeting. The chair will contact nominees to inform them that they have been nominated for an award, explain award procedures and provide a timeline for the process.
Awardees must accept the award and give a brief address at the APA conference (for the year awarded). Under extraordinary circumstances (i.e.: medical, death in family) the awardees who cannot attend may send in a paper and have their award accepted in absentia. Div. 32 does not reimburse awards recipients for travel and expenses.
Send nominations to Awards Chair Theopia Jackson via email by Nov. 1, 2018.
