News and updates on early career psychologists

Congratulations to Norka Malberg for winning the 2011 Early Career Paper Prize for: "Exploring Relational Patterns and the Intersubjective Experiences of Chronic Illness from a Mentalization Perspective."

This has been a big year for early career psychologists (ECs):The efforts of the Task Force to Reduce Fees for Early Career Professionals, chaired by Devon King (Membership Chair), resulted in special rates for ECs and greater ability to track membership of ECs. Winnie Eng has stepped down as Co-Chair but will remain on the committee and continue to manage the ListServe and the new webpage. Our new Co-Chair, Heather-Ayn Indelicato, chaired a lively roundtable at the 2011 Spring Meeting, looking at supervision across differences of age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and role.

Current agendas include utilizing our new webpage to encourage early career psychologist participation in the Division and to provide mentorship for Spring Meeting proposals and other professional endeavours.
