The editor discusses the Fall season and back-to-school feelings of renewal

By Tamara M. Greenberg, PsyD

Welcome to the September issue of InSight and the Fall season. I hope the "back to school" feeling that often denotes this time of year finds you filled with aspirations and renewal, even if we can't all show up for new classes with brand new folders and textbooks.

Hopefully this issue can further your enthusiasm about psychoanalysis. Our members continue to highlight the best of what applied and traditional psychoanalytic approaches can offer. In particular, see Psychoanalytic News for the call for psychoanalysts to work more with veterans as discussed on International See Author Connection regarding Liz Goren's book on work with firefighters during the aftermath of 9/11. Finally, be sure to check out Louis Rothschild's Spotlight on the fascinating Psychoanalytic Psychology article on psychoanalytic offices.

The APA presidential election is upon us. See Division Updates for information about who received endorsements from the Division 39 Board of Directors.

Have a great month. As always, if you have questions or thoughts, please email me.
