Every end marks a new beginning

After two years of missing my kids' soccer games, waking up at 5 a.m. and typing in 20 minute Scooby Doo chunks, I did it. I clicked send on my dissertation to my advisor. I am coming to realize that this profession is filled with ends that are new beginnings. Every time I terminate with a client, say goodbye to a supervisor, finish a presentation at a conference or send off a paper, I am filled with the same mixture of hope, excitment, nervousness and loss I felt when I hit send this week. What a great profession filled with opportunities to grow at every turn.

Sincerely, Kristi Pikiewicz
