Early Career Professional Award
The Early Career Professional Award honors an individual who has made substantial contributions to sport, exercise or performance psychology. The recipient of the award is given a plaque and a cash prize of $500. In addition, the recipient is invited to give a presentation at convention related to her or his contribution to the field.
The recipient must be a current member of Division 47 and have received his or her degree no more than seven years prior to the award decision.
How to Apply
Nominations must include the completed APA Division 47 ECP Award Biographical Sketch form (PDF, 19KB) and a letter of nomination noting the impact of the nominee's contribution to either the science or practice of sport, exercise or performance psychology generally and the his or her involvement in Division 47 specifically. For self-nominations, which are encouraged, one additional letter of support is required.
Only electronic submissions will be accepted and they must be sent to the past president of Division 47. Nominations must be received by December 31st of the year before the award is presented.
