The Student Representatives would like to thank everyone for the successful division activities at the 2011 APA Convention

By Cassie Pasquariello and Justine Chatterton, MS

After an amazing APA Convention in Washington D.C., we want to thank all of the students who participated in Division 47 activities. The student social and the speed mentoring event in our nation’s capitol was a huge success and we look forward to continuing the tradition in Orlando, Florida in August 2012 at next year’s APA convention. We also want to acknowledge students of Division 47 who were unable to attend, but are interested in getting more involved in the Division.

Additionally, we want to thank Laura Di Pasquale, the outgoing student representative, for her valuable efforts and commitment to the Division 47 Executive Committee and to the students of Division 47. With Laura’s departure, we are pleased to welcome Justine Chatterton as the newest student representative. Justine is a Counseling Psychology doctoral student at University of North Texas and will be working closely with Cassie Pasquariello (Counseling Psychology doctoral student at Virginia Commonwealth University) and the Executive Committee this year.

We look forward to serving you this year as your Division 47 student representatives. We plan to communicate with you regularly and keep you up-to-date on opportunities to get involved with Division 47 over the next year. We also hope to find additional ways to increase student involvement in the Division. If you have any suggestions or are interested in becoming more involved in the Division, please contact either one of us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Best,

Cassie and Justine
