2011 Recipient: Arthur M. "Andy" Horne

Arthur M. "Andy" Horne has been a leader in the Society of Group Psychology and Group Psychotherapy from its inception. His work in preventing bullying behavior has had a major impact on school interventions and improved the lives of students. His service to the Society is tireless and includes mentoring, elected service and leadership. Andy's group career has transitioned from an early emphasis on group therapy and counseling to a much stronger focus on using group approaches to reducing problems that lead to the need for counseling and therapy.
