Call For Student Leaders
Members of the Student Advisory Board (SAB) serve a two-year term and work with the Student Representative to promote student interests in Division programming, structure and training, and to encourage other students to get involved. When these two-year terms are complete, SAB members are replaced by newly appointed members. Because of this rotation, each year 5 students are needed to replace SAB members who are rotating off of service.
Applicants for new SAB positions must be student members of Division 54, and must be enrolled in an APA-approved graduate program in professional psychology with specific interests in pediatric psychology. Applicants must not be eligible for graduation from their program until after their term is complete.
To apply, please email the following by April 15 to the SPP Student Representative.
A copy of your curriculum vita
Your contact information (email, phone, and address)
A letter of recommendation from your primary mentor (can be emailed directly by mentor or mailed – contact the SPP Student Representative for mailing address)
A short statement (less than a page) indicating your interest in serving as the Student Representative and/or on the Student Advisory Board, including highlights of how you would contribute to the ongoing mission of the SAB and the SPP.
