The National Conference on Pediatric Psychology

The SPP National Conference in Pediatric Psychology will be held April 11-13, 2013 at the Astor-Crowne Plaza Hotel in New Orleans. Plenary overview speakers and invited symposia will cover the topics of sleep issues in pediatric psychology, federal healthcare reform, quality improvement, diversity issues, and clinically informed and clinically relevant research methodologies. Invited presenters include Jennifer Schurman, Lindsey Cohen, David Janicke, Jennifer Shroff-Pendley, Kristen Riekert and Celia Lescano. In addition, three symposia covering issues of broad interest will be selected from submitted abstracts. A total of 13 hours of continuing education credit for psychologists (Intermediate Level) will be offered during conference programming.*

In addition to the conference programming, there will be Special Interest Group meetings on topics relevant to clinical practice on Thursday before the conference, some of which will offer up to two hours of continuing education for psychologists (intermediate level). Additional opportunities for continuing education for psychologists will be available during two concurrent, three-hour preconference skills-building workshops on Thursday morning: one on translational research methodologies and one on ACT for Pediatric Pain.
