Springer Early Career Achievement Award in Research on Adult Development and Aging
This award honors an individual whose work has made significant early career contributions to understanding critical issues in the psychology of adult development and aging. The recipient will be presented with a plaque and a cash award at the Div. 20 Business Meeting during the annual APA convention in the year the award is received.
Potential nominees must have received a doctoral degree no longer than seven years prior to application for the award, show evidence of scholarly publications in journals/books and membership in Div. 20 of APA.
Nomination materials should be sent in one email to the chairs of the Awards Committee, Jennifer Birdsall and Jeanine Parisi, with "D20 Springer Award nomination" noted as the subject of the email. The nomination materials will include the following:

A letter of nomination by a senior scholar describing the nominee's qualifications and achievements of the nominee's research accomplishments.

A current CV of the nominee.

At least three published or in press papers.

A brief statement by the nominee of his or her current work and future plans.

At least two additional letters of support (one must be from a Div. 20 member).
Nominees must be current members or affiliates of Div. 20.
Nominees will be reviewed by a committee of past-presidents, as well as past and present members of the Div. 20 Executive Committee.
