We aim to develop and maintain relationships among the professionals passionate about social and political advocacy for issues related to aging, including elder abuse. The Aging Policy and Social Activism SIG (APSA) represents the collaborative effort of dedicated professionals in the fields of psychology, healthcare, and public health for the purpose of developing and maintaining interprofessional relationships united by a common goal of improving aging policy and social activism efforts. In order to empower members for social change, APSA also aims to increase awareness of the current aging policy and increase advocacy at the local and federal levels. This will be accomplished by serving as an outlet for professionals to share resources related to aging policy and engage in coordinated action within their local communities.
