Call for Proposals

Submissions are now open for APA's 2018 Annual Convention and Div. 36's Mid-Year Conference.

By Stephanie Winkeljohn Black, PhD

Div. 36 Members: Submissions for APA's 2018 Annual Convention in San Francisco are now open. Members may submit a proposal via the APA convention website before 5 p.m. ET on Dec. 1. We are accepting proposals for symposia, five-minute data blitzes (indicate “Data Blitz”) and poster submissions. We are specifically encouraging symposia organizers to submit continuing education credit information for their sessions as this is valuable both for our colleagues across the division and as a driver of attendance at our sessions. Please note that presentations submitted as individual papers will be scheduled as posters if they are accepted. Jordan LaBouff, PhD, would be happy to answer any questions, so feel free to contact him.

Div. 36 is also now accepting proposals for its 2018 Mid-Year Conference, a supportive academic forum where professionals discuss the latest research findings and scientific advances in the field. This year's conference will include keynote and plenary sessions, student activities and receptions. This year's conference will be held from March 9-10, 2018, at the University of California-Riverside. Submissions will be accepted until Jan. 7, 2018, and the Div. 36 call for proposals (PDF, 95KB) provides full information about the submission process.
