Diversity Travel Awards
Interested students should submit an application that includes the following:
- A cover letter that provides contact information for the applicant and specifies the applicant’s eligibility for the award as a member of an underrepresented group.
- An approximately two-page (double-spaced) statement that describes the student’s professional goals, the presentation(s) he or she will be making at the conference, how attending the conference will benefit the student, and his or her financial need for the award, including a description of other travel funds available to the student.
- A completed W-9 (U.S. citizen) or W-8 (non-citizen) tax form.
- A faculty mentor should email a letter of support to the BRIDGE Travel Award subcommittee chair no later than Dec. 15. In their letter, the faculty mentor should address the importance of presenting the project at the AP-LS conference for the student's advancement in their psychology and law career.
Applications will be judged by members of the BRIDGE Committee. Awards will be made on a competitive basis, with consideration given to applicants’ financial need.

Proposals for this award must be submitted electronically as a single PDF and uploaded to the following form: BRIDGE Diversity Travel Award. (See above for deadline.)
Award Announcement and Disbursement
Award recipients will be notified by February prior to the conference. Recipients will be required to attend a BRIDGE reception during the conference during which they will be publicly recognized. The travel award will be disbursed by reimbursing expenses following the conference. Recipients will be required to maintain receipts to document their expenses.
