The Membership Coordinator was established at the Division 47 Executive Committee meeting at APA, San Francisco, CA, 2018. The purposes of the Membership Coordinator are to maintain a vibrant membership and to assist the Executive Committee in being responsive to members.
Coordinator goals:
- To educate students and professionals about opportunities to become affiliated with Division 47
- To ensure that the Society is responsive to the needs of its members
- Monitor membership statistics, composition, and trends
- To retain present members and recruit new members and students into our division
- Seek email addresses of new Society members from membership services; then, send a welcome email to each new Society member pointing them to the website and other electronic resources, encouraging them to attend Society sessions at the Convention, etc.
- Be cognizant of the APA Membership Coordinator Directorate and liaison with the directorate
- To work with the social media committee to facilitate posting of relevant content for the members
