Division 7 is proud to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of developmental psychology through their careers. Seasoned professionals, mid-career, and early career psychologists may have their work recognized by the division, which also acknowledges the importance and accomplishments of mentors and scholarship. To support the research of graduate students and early career psychologists, Division 7 also offers two grants, which help to advance significant content knowledge, methodology and/or theory in developmental psychology.

APA Division 7 is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for our upcoming award cycle. We invite you to recognize outstanding contributions to developmental psychology by nominating a deserving colleague, student, or self-nominating for the awards and grants listed below. All submission materials must be emailed by December 1, 2026.
For Nominations made in 2026 for the 9 Awards and 2 Grants to be received in 2027, the nomination schedule is as follows:
- September 1, 2026: Call for award nominations from the membership
- December 1, 2026: Due date for award nominations from the membership
- January 30, 2027: Due date for decisions from Division 7 award committees
- February 28, 2027: Public announcement of awards
