Division 47 Awards
The Div. 47 Executive Committee has established five annual rotating awards to recognize distinguished contributions in the field of Sports, Exercise and Performance Psychology.
Nominees for the awards must be a member of Div. 47 prior to their nomination.
Early Career Professional Award
This award honors an early career professional who has made substantial contributions to sport, exercise or performance psychology.
Dissertation and Thesis Awards
These awards recognize outstanding student research that has the greatest potential for making a significant contribution to the theoretical and applied knowledge base in exercise and sport psychology.
Bruce Ogilvie Award for Professional Practice
This award recognizes outstanding service of a sport psychologist who has provided leadership in changing the profession or conducted applied work that contributes to the development of the profession.
Distinguished Contributions to Education and Training in Exercise and Sport Psychology
This award is presented to a sport psychologist or training program that over time has consistently provided significant contributions to education and training in Exercise and Sport Psychology.
Distinguished Contributions to Exercise and Sport Psychology in the Public Interest
This award recognizes individuals who have made distinguished contributions to the Public Interest which advance exercise and sport psychology as a science and/or profession.
Distinguished Scientific and Research Contributions to Exercise and Sport Psychology
This award is presented to candidates who have made distinguished theoretical or empirical contributions to basic research in Exercise and Sport Psychology.
