Doctoral Dissertation Award in the Psychology of Aging
The recipient will be recognized at the annual meeting of the Division of Adult Development and Aging. Candidates are welcome from any area of the psychology of aging and adult development. The recipient will be presented with a plaque and a cash award at the Div. 20 Business Meeting during the annual APA convention in the year the award is received.
Nominees must be current members or affiliates of Div. 20. Candidates must have completed or expect to complete their doctoral dissertation annually between June 1, 2021-May 31, 2022.
Nomination materials should be sent in one email to the chair of the Awards Committee, Jennifer Birdsall and Cecilia Poon, with "D20 Dissertation Award nomination" noted as the subject of the email. The nomination materials will include the following:

A letter of support from dissertation supervisor.

A current CV of the nominee.

A personal statement about merit and potential impact of the dissertation (maximum of three double-spaced pages with 12pt font).

An abstract of the dissertation (maximum of 10 double-spaced pages with 12pt font).
Nominations will be reviewed by a committee comprised of the executive committee and division members.
