Div. 20 Undergraduate, Graduate and Postdoctoral Research Awards
The award competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as individuals in postdoctoral positions who are senior author on an APA proposal submission. Postdoctoral applicants should not be more than four years post-PhD. In addition, previous recipients within a level are not eligible to apply again at that same level.
Awards of $500 are planned at each of the following levels: undergraduate, graduate (master's and/or doctoral) and postdoctoral. These awards are intended to recognize outstanding research being presented at APA's annual convention. Awardees will be recognized at the Div. 20 business meeting during convention.

Submissions should include:

A copy of the submitted APA proposal.

Biographical sketch (not to exceed one page), that includes in list format (a) schools attended with degrees attained, (b) relevant professional positions, (c) honors, (d) society memberships (e) publications and/or paper presentations, (f) relevant coursework and (g) any other relevant information you would like to include.

Short supporting statement by the faculty sponsor verifying the nature of and the relative contribution to the research by the student submitting the proposal. This statement should be short, not to exceed one paragraph, and emailed directly from the adviser.
Research proposals and supporting materials should be sent via email to the chair of the Awards Committee, Jennifer Birdsall and Cecilia Poon, with "D20 Undergraduate/Graduate/Postdoctoral Research Travel Award Nomination" noted as the subject of the email. Questions can be addressed to the Awards Committee co-chairs as well.
Submissions will be reviewed by qualified reviewers from Div. 20.
