  • Lifetime Achievement Award
    Div. 3 honors an individual who has made long-lasting and distinguished theoretical and/or empirical contributions to basic research in experimental psychology.
  • Early Career Award
    Since 1995, Div. 3 has presented awards to honor outstanding new investigators (i.e., no more than three years post-PhD).  
  • Best Student Poster
    Div. 3 presents this award to the top poster by a student at APA's Annual Convention.

    Div. 3 presents this early career award at the Psychonomic Society's Annual Meeting, held Nov. 14-17, 2019, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
  • Best Student Paper Award
    Div. 3 recognizes the best student paper at the meeting of the Comparative Cognition Society, held next in Melbourne Beach, Fla., from April 1-4, 2020. 
  • Women in Cognitive Science Travel and Networking Award
    Div. 3 sponsors one mentoring award for a woman scientist to execute a mentoring plan at the Annual Meeting of the Psychonomic Society. The 2019 winner was Ester Navarro, a PhD student at Claremont Graduate University. The 2018 winner was Sara Gallant, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Southern California.
