Positive Media SIG
The Positive Media SIG of Division 46 in the American Psychological Association (APA) focuses on the use of media and digital technology as a means to build thriving individuals, families, communities and societies. Topics of special interest include the use of media and digital technology for promoting and strengthening ethics (such as values and virtues), character strengths, talents, effective problem solving skills and resilience. The SIG is intended to complement traditional areas of media psychology through using the scientific method to study and determine the means through which media and digital technology can promote positive human development to help create a better community for all.
