Mission

The overall mission of this group is to connect others in the field of cognitive aging and cognitive neuroscience. We hope to share ideas, resources, career development resources, and enhance collaborative efforts across group members.

Objectives

Connect and promote dialog among psychologists with common interests in cognition and cognitive neuroscience, as it relates to aging. This occurs through online meetings, email communication, and in person at aging-related annual meetings. We will sponsor various initiatives throughout the year, such as online educational, research, or training sessions, a quarterly email, facilitating collaborations, and avenues for speed networking. This interest area is engaged in promotion of research, publications, and general knowledge that focus upon cognition/cognitive neuroscience as it relates to aging. We also plan on relating these ideas to clinical practice in neuropsychology. Membership is free and open to all members and affiliates of the American Psychological Association, but members are strongly encouraged to join Division 20.
