Division 31 is providing statements given to us by each of the following SPTAs. We appreciate and applaud these statements. However, please note that these statements are provided for informational purposes only, and the presentation of them does not imply Division 31 endorsement of each individual statement. Updates made by the SPTAs will be subsequently posted on the Division 31 listserv and posted at this site.
We at Division 31 have also created statements against racism and discrimination (PDF, 203KB)opens in new window and more specifically, against racism and discrimination impacting Asians, Blacks, Indigenous, and Hispanics (PDF, 236KB)opens in new window, and Resources for Addressing Antisemitism. We encourage the ongoing member commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusion. We acknowledge the innovative work that goes on within each jurisdiction, but often this work goes unknown outside of the jurisdiction. Instead of reinventing the wheel, we invite SPTAs to take advantage, maximize efficiency by combining efforts through pooling of these resources to further develop their own anti-racism and discrimination responses against racism and discrimination and commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
