It can be daunting thinking about beginning to study and schedule the EPPP. Here are some suggestions to consider as you begin this process.
- You deserve a break! This has been a hard year, take as much time as you need before you transition back to studying again.
-
Look at your state rules about taking the EPPP. Things to think about are as follows. How long is the process to begin your application, how long does it take for your board to approve you to sit for the EPPP, and how much time do you have before you have to schedule the exam once the board has approved you to sit for the EPP?
-
Find the right study system for you! There are many different study methods out there. Trust yourself! You know what works best for you. Whether that is using study materials from friends or paying for a preparation system. If you are using a prep system, do a free trial and figure out which system works best for you.
-
Ask your colleagues what worked for them! If you are feeling overwhelmed by the options (or lack of options) ask what other people have used and what they liked or did not like about the study materials.
-
Set a schedule. Set a schedule and follow it! You know how to prepare for this exam because you just finished graduate school and internship! You got this!!
-
Support and self-care. Find a support network for you to rely on and make sure to have lots of self-care.
