Leadership

The Cornerstone Committee was proposed at the Society’s Executive Committee’s Mid-Winter Meeting in February 2016 and was approved at APA in August 2016. The Cornerstone Committee collapsed the four committees: Education, Science, Practice and Public Interest into one committee. Cornerstone consists of professional members and students who volunteer to serve the Division in many roles and with many initiatives. Some of the key tasks of the Cornerstone Committee are:

  • To establish sub-committees to review the Dissertation and Thesis Award submissions. Committee members typical serve as reviewers uness they feel that they have a conflict of interest with any particular submission.
  • To submit reports on the committee’s activities to the Executive Committee at mid-year meeting and convention and publish in the newsletter as appropriate.
