Journal Special Issues
Special issue on COVID-19
The Div. 49 journal, Group Dynamics: Research, Theory, and Practice featured a special issue on the COVID-19 and how group dynamics and group psychotherapy can aid people in coping with the pandemic. Div. 49 is also pleased to honor Donelson R. Forsyth, PhD, with the Most Valuable Paper of 2020 award for his journal article in this issue, “Group-level resistance to health mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic: A groupthink approach.”
Alliance rupture and repair in group therapy
The Group Dynamics journal's March 2021 issue features six articles examining alliance rupture and repair in the context of group psychotherapy. Despite the importance of alliance rupture and repair to psychotherapy, there was almost no research on this topic when it comes to group therapy until now. The March 2021 issue of Group Dynamics, guest edited by Cheri Marmarosh (2021), is a landmark issue that features six articles focusing exclusively on alliance rupture and repair in group therapy.
Group Dynamics: Theory, Research and Practice
Group Dynamics: Theory, Research, and Practice publishes original empirical articles, theoretical analyses, literature reviews, and brief reports dealing with basic and applied topics in the field of group research and application.
