Div. 32 member honored by the California Psychological Association

The the California Psychological Association (CPA) recently announced that Ilene Serlin, PhD, has been selected as the recipient of the 2019 Distinguished Humanitarian Contribution award. This award honors a person whose volunteer and career efforts have directly and significantly improved the quality of life for a broad range and large number of persons in our society.

Serlin is a past recipient of the Rollo May Award from Div. 32. She is a psychologist and dance therapist who has written extensively about psychology and the arts. She is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and has taught at University of California, Los Angeles; Saybrook University; and Lesley University. She is on the editorial board of Journal of Humanistic Psychology and American Journal of Dance/Movement Therapy and is in private practice in San Francisco.

The CPA will present this award during the Opening General Session at the 2019 CPA Convention on Friday, April 5, 2019, at 8:30 a.m. at the Hilton Long Beach, Long Beach, Calif.
