Committee co-chairs Kelsey Helsing and Stephen Forssell have been working with Div. 44’s executive committee members on crafting a campaign to bring former members back into the fold. In response to survey feedback from lapsed members, Kelsey and Steve will be taking a personal approach in the upcoming campaign. They will be contacting former members directly, reminding them of the benefits of division membership and issuing a personal invitation to re-up. Benefits include mentorship (be a mentor, get mentored), the division journal, Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity®, and access to an active Listserv that imparts critical information about our community including job postings. The Listserv is also a place where one can promote study recruitment, find/offer referrals, pass on news of interest, share CE and other professional opportunities and more. Membership in Div. 44 also demonstrates to colleagues and clients that you are committed to serving our community.
They could use your help with the campaign. Ask your friends and colleagues if they have renewed their membership for 2020. If they have not (or have yet to join), please let Kelsey or Steve know. They will reach out personally to help them reconnect.
