Division 44 Communications Committee is looking to add three members to assist with our social media and website efforts.
Our division is in the unique position of interfacing within the APA organization, the psychology/healthcare field and the public to provide psychological research, practice, education and training and advocacy on issues related to sexual orientation and gender diversity, as well as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender nonconforming and queer individuals. We have been increasing our outreach on social media and would like to do more.
This is where you come in. If you consider yourself to be creative and find making social media content fun, we would appreciate having you join our committee. We are interested in having two individuals assist with social media content and administration with me. The workload for these positions includes three hours monthly for content development; access to Canva Pro for design; and use of social media management system for scheduling.
Additionally, we are interested in having a web editor to work with Rebekah, serving as a project manager with updating website content and potentially oversee an update to our website format. The workload for this position includes advice on format redesign and solicit updated content information from point-of-contacts for necessary webpages.
We will provide leadership and mentoring on all activities conducted as part of the committee's work.
Qualifications: We ask that you be a current Division 44 member to apply. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to build their CV. Please send an email with a copy of your current CV and your interest in joining our committee. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
