• Additional information: This program provides opportunities to learn to facilitate evidence-based outpatient groups with a population of low-income individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. There are also additional free group outreach classes/groups offered to marginalized and underserved populations (e.g., Latinx community).

• Theoretical orientations: Interpersonal process, cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, dialectical behavioral therapy, integrating art and music
• Training formats: Didactic seminars, experiential seminars, group supervision of group therapy, individual supervision of group therapy, serving as a process observer, group administration (the business of the practice of group for trainees and staff who run group), other: watch/do/teach. More advanced trainees supervise junior colleagues in group therapy.

• Additional information: Group therapy is the primary intervention in this system, not because it is convenient and cost effective, but because program staff recognize its power in helping patients move forward in recovery, manage difficult experiences and build a meaningful life.
