In the face of the virus and halt to live events, the Los Angeles County Psychological Associations Arts, Creativity, and Culture Committee transformed our annual live exhibition into a virtual gallery—Mirrors of the Mind 9: The Psychotherapist as Artist in the Time of Coronavirus. Throughout history the arts have played a unique and powerful role in social change by bringing our attention to suffering and giving us hope. We believe in the liberating power of the arts to promote empathy, be a catalyst for social justice and provide us a greater sense of our shared humanity and connection. The virtual gallery opened November 2020 and will remain for viewing until November 2021. Artist spotlight virtual events will be hosted to educate, inspire, and promote reflection and dialogue and offer an opportunity to celebrate the arts in virtual community.
