The APA Div. 37 Child and Family Citizen Psychologist Award, which is part of the APA Citizen Psychologist initiative, is for Div. 37 psychologist members who have demonstrated notable engagement in the community and service independent of their employment duties. Such engagement can serve to benefit the local, professional, national or global communities. The winner will receive an honorarium and will also be invited to host a webinar on their topic of choice.

How to Apply
  • Nominees should provide a one- to two-page personal statement regarding how their role as psychologist has benefited society.
  • Submit a current CV.
  • Provide two letters of support, one from a community agency/organization that has benefited from the psychologist’s efforts.

Nominations should be sent to Mel Schneiderman, PhD, member-at-large for advocacy.
