I represent Div. 49 on the Coalition for Psychology in Schools and Education, a combination of 29 of APA’s divisions. We meet twice yearly in Washington, D.C., at APA headquarters. We work on such matters as the development of a set of psychological principles to help teachers develop ‘’effective instruction, classroom environments that promote learning and appropriate use of assessment.” I have worked on several projects, including the teacher’s need survey. There is much collegiality in the group, and I’m pleased to be able to talk about group work from time to time.
